SSC Culinary Arts Scholarship Application

Culinary Arts Scholarship Application Closes April 10, 2026!

Award Overview

These scholarships recognize graduating seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to the Sabin Schellenberg Culinary Arts program through persistence, professional reliability, and active leadership within our Culinary Arts program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for these awards, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Academic Dedication: Must be a current high school senior who has successfully completed at least three or more Culinary Arts Classes (e.g., Intro to Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts 1 , Culinary Arts 2 and 3  or Culinary  Internship) 
  • Club Involvement:  Extra consideration will be given to students who are involved with Skills USA or ProStart
  • Professionalism: Must have maintained "Exceptional" ratings in Employability Skills throughout their coursework and on-site work experiences. This includes:
    • Punctuality and consistent attendance.
    • Adherence to dress codes requirements.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and ethical conduct.

Application Requirements

  1. Resume: A professional resume outlining the students academic goals, culinary coursework and club participation 
  2. Short Essay (300-500 words): > "Reflecting on your time in the Culinary Arts program. Also, what employability skills you have learned in the Culinary Arts program and how will these skills help you reach your college goals and in your future careers. 

SSC scholarship applications below are now closed

Students who attend SSC may qualify for the following scholarships. To be considered, complete the SSC Scholarship application (below) by 3:30 pm, Friday, April 3, 2026. Be sure to complete all required applications and include all requested attachments.

The Clackamas Sunrise Rotary Club  Trade Scholarship

Please complete scholarship application linked above to apply for the Clackamas Sunrise Rotary Club Trade scholarship.

Purpose: To recognize a SSC senior who is pursuing a trade school education or an associate degree in an area offered at SSC

Criteria: 

  • Complete the Clackamas Sunrise Rotary Trade Scholarship application & include all requested attachments.
  • Have taken 2 semesters of CTE courses at Sabin-Schellenberg during high school.
  • Be an NCSD student attending an NCSD high school graduating by June 2026.
  • Pursue an education at a trade school or an associate's degree at a community college 2026-2027.
  • Have a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
  • Not be the child of a member(s) of the Clackamas Sunrise Rotary.
  • Only applications that contain all required and/or requested information will be considered.

To apply for this scholarship, complete both the SSC Scholarship application and the Clackamas Sunrise Rotary Club SSC Trade Scholarship application by Friday, April 3, 2026 at 3:30 pm.

Sabin-Schellenberg Center Scholarship Application

Please complete scholarship application linked above to apply for any of the scholarships listed below.

SSC Staff Scholarship

Purpose: To recognize a SSC senior

Criteria: 

  • GPA: 3.0
  • Involvement in a SSC program of Study
  • Sabin-Schellenberg Leadership Experience in chapter involvement or volunteer activities
  • Demonstrated need for financial assistance

 

Professional Technical Scholarship 

Purpose: to recognize a student's demonstrated Excellence through Application by immersing themselves at SSC

Criteria: 

  • GPA: high grades at SSC
  • Has excelled as a Sabin-Schellenberg CTE concentrator and/or taken a variety of SSC classes.
  • Committed to a SSC profession in future career plans

 

Don Kastner Memorial Scholarship  

Purpose: To recognize a graduating SSC senior who demonstrates the desire and ability to overcome barriers

Criteria: 

  • GPA: 2.5
  • Student faces one or more barriers (financial, physical, language, mental, etc)
  • Student excels at SSC Classes

To be eligible these scholarships applicant must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a Sabin-Schellenberg Program and graduating in the spring of 2026
  • Complete the SSC scholarship application and include all requested attachments
  • Enroll at an accredited higher education institution, trade school, industry certification program, apprenticeship, or be pursuing an associate degree in 2026-2027.
  • Only applications that contain all required and/or requested information will be considered.

To apply for any of the above scholarships complete the 2026 SSC Scholarship Application by Friday, April 3, 2026 at 3:30 pm.
